Top 5 Carpooling and Ridesharing Apps on Android in Kuwait: Q3 2022

During the third quarter of 2022, the top carpooling and ridesharing apps on the Android platform in Kuwait displayed varied performance metrics. Here is an overview based on Sensor Tower data.

Careem – rides, food & more saw a gradual decline in weekly downloads, starting from around 950 in late June and dropping to approximately 600 by the end of September. The app’s weekly active users fluctuated slightly, beginning at 14.8K and closing the quarter at 13.3K.

Uber - Request a ride experienced a downward trend in weekly downloads, peaking at 772 in mid-July and decreasing to 398 by the end of September. Weekly active users remained relatively stable, starting at 16.3K and ending the quarter at about 16.7K.

inDrive. Save on city rides showed a notable spike in downloads during mid-August, reaching 959, but generally trended downward to about 297 by the end of September. The weekly active users increased from 3.7K at the beginning of the quarter to 4.5K at its close.

Bolt: Request a Ride maintained relatively stable download numbers throughout the quarter, with minor fluctuations around the 250 mark. Active user numbers saw a small increase from 739 at the beginning of the quarter to 859 by the end.

DiDi Rider: Affordable rides experienced a decreasing trend in downloads, starting at 247 and dropping to 117 by the end of September. The active user base remained steady, hovering around 1.6K to 1.7K throughout the quarter.
